Consultant breast, thyroid and endocrine surgeon and lead breast surgeon for the Buckinghamshire Hospitals Trust including Wycombe, Amersham, Gerrards Cross and Stoke Mandeville Hospitals.

This website is directed at the breast service centred at Wycombe Hospital, and also available at Amersham, Gerrards Cross, Chiltern and Shelburne Hospitals.  In addition I perform a variety of general surgical operations including thyroidectomy and hernia repair as well as emergency surgical work.  On this web site are links with breast care websites which provide details of breast diseases and conditions.

All patients attending the dedicated breast clinics will be assessed by a team of clinicians including myself, a consultant breast radiologist, breast physicians and breast care nurses.  Most patients will have a diagnosis at the first consultation.

My interests in breast surgery are related to new techniques such as sentinel node biopsy, skin sparing mastectomy and breast reconstruction (in conjunction with plastic surgeon Mr John Dickinson).  I lecture regularly on breast cancer and have published articles on outcome in breast cancer surgery.

My other interests are thyroid surgery and hernia surgery as well as laparoscopic abdominal surgery.
